Local students honor UW profsDec 15, 2017 From wire reports
Members of the University of Wyoming's senior honor society recently honored their "Top Profs" at the 38th annual Top Prof Night.
Members of the Cap and Gown Chapter of Mortar Board selected professors who have positively influenced their lives at UW.
Mortar board students Emily Schimelpfenig of Lander honored her political science Nevin Aiken.
Riverton native Reed Campbell honored kinesiology and health professor Scarlett Barnes.
"'Top Prof' is a great event, as it allows students to recognize the faculty who have had an impact on their lives," said Christine Wade, an associate professor in the UW Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, and an adviser to the UW chapter. "Faculty are especially honored to be recognized as 'Top Profs,' because they are chosen by the students."
Mortar Board is the premier national honor society recognizing college seniors for outstanding achievement in scholarship, leadership and service.
