Our Dec. 3 story about Riverton High School graduate Kristen Newlin's professional basketball career should have listed her age as 32 and her RHS graduating class as 2003.

Births

GEORGE

A son was born to Seth George and Christina George of Laramie, formerly of Lander at 4:14 p.m. Nov. 8 at Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie. The baby weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces. His grandparents are Jamie and Jayne George, Marilyn Desmond, and Richard Gould, all of Lander.

CHARLEY- LITTLE COYOTE

A son was born to Torrie Little Coyote of Riverton and Edison Charley of Riverton at 12:45 p.m. Dec. 9 at SageWest Health Care at Lander. The baby weighed 7 pounds, 4.9 ounces.

FRIDAY

A baby was born to Denissa Dawn Elk Boy of Lander and Joseph Ray Friday of Devils Lake North Dakota at 6:38 a.m. Dec. 8 at SageWest Health Care at Lander. The baby weighed 7 pounds, 12.7 ounces.

Thursday, December 14

The Star Wars Movie Marathon at the Riverton Library will be Dec. 14 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Costumes will be permitted and refreshments will be provided.

Saturday, December 16

The 2017 Comfort and Joy event to benefit the Pavillion food bank and local children will be from noon to 6 p.m. at the Pavillion Rec Center. Admission is one non-perishable food item per person and each admission receives entry for a 55 inch TV giveaway. Santa will arrive on a fire truck at 2 p.m. There will be live music, sloppy joe lunch from noon to 1:30 p.m., cake walk from 1 to 2 p.m., silent auction and a holiday movie that starts at 4 p.m. For more information or to donate call town hall at 856-2154.

Pictures with Santa will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Linton's Big R of Riverton for free.

Monday, December 18

Yoga will take place in the Small Children's Theater at the Riverton library every Monday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Classes will be a combination of warming and restorative poses. Mats will be provided or participants can bring their own.

Wednesday, December 20

The Polar Express Event hosted by the CATS museum will be from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 120 South Third Street East in Riverton. Trains depart at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 20 and 21. There will be games, science experiments, pictures with Santa and snacks. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the museum $3 for members and $5 for non-members.

In Riverton Police Department reports Tuesday:

-Houston Headley, 49, of Ethete, was arrested at about 4 a.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of South First Street for public intoxication.

- Marlowe Underwood, 41, of Fort Washakie, was arrested at about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 1700 block of North Federal Boulevard for shoplifting and on a Riverton municipal warrant.

- No injuries were recorded in a minor traffic incident reported at about 5:10 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of Independence Drive.

- James Goodman, 24, of Riverton, was arrested at about 10:20 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of Spire Drive for domestic battery and property destruction. Officials said he was at his girlfriend's apartment intoxicated, and she didn't want him there, so she made him leave. After he left the apartment, reports state he punched a glass window and broke it. When his girlfriend came outside to try to stop him, officials said he started punching her in the face. She suffered minor injuries but did not require medical treatment, according to reports.

In Fremont County Sheriff's Office reports Tuesday:

-Deputies responded at about 7:40 a.m. Tuesday to reports that three cows were in the right-of-way in the 11100 block of Wyoming Highway 789 near Riverton.

- Deputies responded at about 10:50 a.m. Tuesday to reports that a "small puppy" was in the road in the 100 block of Buckhorn Flats Road near Riverton.

- Joseph Arthur, 40, of Riverton, was arrested at about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 1100 block of Major Avenue in Riverton for intoxicated pedestrian on roadway.
