Four from FreCo graduate from military camp

Wyoming Cowboy Challenge Academy Class 34 will graduate Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Eastern Wyoming College auditorium in Torrington.

The 32 cadets spent the last 5 1/2 months at Camp Guernsey Joint Training Center completing the program's residential phase. Core components during this period include academics, citizenship, life-coping skills, civic service, health and hygiene, leadership and physical fitness.

The mission of the Wyoming Cowboy Challenge Academy is to provide a safe, disciplined and professional learning environment that empowers at-risk youth to improve their educational level and employment potential and become responsible productive citizens of Wyoming.

Graduates from Riverton were Morgan McKee and Sebastian Wirth. Fort Washakie cadet Diago Duncan and Sean Gibson of Lander also graduated from the program.

Cadets also came from the Wyoming towns of Lovell, Cheyenne, Casper, Evanston, Hanna, Pinedale, Powell, Torrington, Wheatland, Laramie and Newcastle.
