A daughter was born to LaVesta Stringham of Longmont, Colorado and Micheal Ochoteco of Buffalo, Wyoming at 7:59 a.m. Nov. 22 at SageWest Healthcare at Lander. The baby weighed 7 pounds, 7.5 ounces.

A baby was born to Jessica Damveld of Lander and Zachary Miller of Lander at 3:09 p.m. Nov. 23 at SageWest Healthcare at Lander. The baby weighed 8 pounds, 8.7 ounces.

NOVOTNY

William John Novotny Jr., 70, passed away Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017, at his home in Buffalo, surrounded by his family, after waging a valiant battle against cancer. A celebration of life was held Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017, in Buffalo. Memorials in his honor may be made to the Susie Bowling Lawrence Hospice at 497 West Lott, Buffalo, WY 82834 or the Johnson Youth Camp, 76 N. Main St., Buffalo, WY 82834.

Frederic Jay Kemme, 88, died Nov. 19, 2017, at his home in Dubois. Per his request, no services will be held.

November 30, 5-9 p.m., December 1, 5-9 p.m., December 2, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. The community event will showcase nativities, children's activities, musical performances, artwork displays and family photos.

In Riverton Police Department reports Wednesday through Monday:

-Police responded at about 1 a.m. Wednesday to reports that someone "went through" a vehicle in the 1400 block of Aspen Drive. Officials were unable to determine whether anything was missing, and they were unable to locate the suspect.

- No injuries were recorded in a traffic incident involving a Toyota Tundra and Ford Escape at about 12:20 p.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of North Federal Boulevard.

- A 43-year-old Riverton man was cited for having a vicious animal after his dog reportedly bit a 5-year-old boy at about 2:25 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of South First Street. Officials said the boy was jogging with his mom when the dog got out of its fenced yard and bit him in the right buttock.

- Clarence Jenkins, 60, of Riverton, was arrested at about 4:55 p.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of East Main Street on an outstanding Riverton municipal warrant for contempt of court.

- A 16-year-old Riverton boy was cited at about 9:10 p.m. Wednesday in the 1900 block of North Federal Boulevard for possession of alcohol.

- Police responded at about 8 p.m. Thursday to reports of theft from a building in the 1100 block of Westview Drive. Officials didn't know what had been taken.

- No injuries were recorded in a traffic incident involving a white Ford Expedition and a white Ford Taurus at about 12:40 a.m. Friday in the 600 block of South Federal Boulevard.

- Franklin Lanier, 47, of Riverton, was arrested at about 11:45 a.m. Friday in the 600 block of West Adams Avenue on a warrant for probation revocation.

- Lisa Leasure, 47, of Riverton, was arrested at about 11:45 a.m. Friday in the 400 block of Spruce Street on an outstanding Riverton municipal warrant for failure to appear.

- Police responded at about 6:20 p.m. Friday to reports of a hit and run incident in the 1700 block of North Federal Boulevard. Officials said the reporting party saw someone "bump" his car, but there was no damage.

- No injuries were recorded in a traffic incident reported at about 7:10 p.m. Friday in the 1600 block of West Main Street. More than $1,000 in damage was recorded.

- No injuries were recorded in a traffic incident reported at about 11:25 p.m. Friday in the 1600 block of West Main Street. More than $1,000 in damage was recorded.

- Officials destroyed a bag of marijuana found at about 11:40 p.m. Friday in the 1600 block of West Main Street.

- Citations are pending for the suspect driver in a hit and run incident reported at about 12:05 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of West Adams Avenue.

- Dallas Dresser, 30, of St. Stephen's, was arrested at about 5:10 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of West Fremont Avenue for public intoxication.

- Robert Snell, 46, of Riverton, was arrested at about 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of South Federal Boulevard on an outstanding Fremont County warrant for failure to appear.

- Kenneth Shakespeare, 31, of Arapahoe, was arrested at about 2:05 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of North Ninth Street East and Park Avenue for public intoxication.

A 24-year-old Rock Springs man was cited at about 2:45 p.m. Sunday in the 800 block of North First Street for possession of a controlled substance that tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine. Officials said he was transported to the local hospital.

Chester Moss, 38, of St. Stephen's, was arrested at about 3:55 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of West Adams Avenue for public intoxication.

Samuel Whiteplume, 35, of Riverton, was arrested at about 3:55 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of North Federal Boulevard for public intoxication.

A 21-year-old Riverton man was cited at about 5:20 p.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of Redwood Drive for possession of marijuana.

Edward Brown, 58, of Riverton, was arrested at about 11:30 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of West Washington Avenue for public intoxication.

Police responded at about 3 p.m. Monday to reports that a driver had damaged some equipment at an automatic car wash in the 900 block of West Main Street.

Lisa Headley, 40, of Riverton, was arrested at about 3:20 p.m. Monday in the 700 block of North Federal Boulevard for shoplifting and trespassing. Reports state she tried to steal more than $300 in clothing from a business in the area. Officials said she had previously been trespassed from the property.

Police responded at about 3:25 p.m. Monday to reports that someone had knocked down a parking sign in the 100 block of North Second Street East. Officials said there is video of the incident, which appears to have involved two men and a woman.

Police responded at about 5:45 p.m. Monday to reports that some items were missing from a storage unit in the 3000 block of College Hill Drive. No forcible entry was recorded.

In Fremont County Sheriff's Office reports Wednesday through Monday:

-No injuries were recorded in a traffic incident involving a vehicle and a deer at about 5:25 p.m. Wednesday in the 6600 block of U.S. Highway 26 near Dubois. Initial reports indicate airbags did deploy.

- Thomas Oldman, 29, of Arapahoe, was arrested at about 7:05 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of South 20th Street East in Riverton for resisting arrest and on a Fremont County warrant for contempt of court. The reporting party said there was an intoxicated man in her house who wouldn't leave. Officials said a deputy contacted Oldman, who ran from the location on foot and was apprehended a short time later without incident.

- A man was treated and released from the local emergency room after calling law enforcement at about 2:25 a.m. Thursday to report that he had wrecked his truck in the 500 block of Eight Mile Road west of Riverton. In initial reports he said he didn't remember what happened - he "just woke up," and his truck was on its side in the barrow ditch. Officials said the crash remains under investigation.

- No injuries were recorded in a traffic incident reported at about 5:55 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of Spencer Street in Riverton. The reporting party said the incident involved a red Yukon and a silver Chevy truck.

- Deputies responded at about 8:55 a.m. Friday to reports of a burglary in the 1500 block of East Monroe Avenue in Riverton. Initial reports indicate a house was "broken into." Officials said a laptop computer was reported missing.

- Deputies responded at about 10:05 a.m. Friday to reports that about seven chickens were loose on Antler Court just north of Lander. The reporting party said one of the birds was "tearing up" her flower bed. Another call came in at about 3:05 p.m. Friday from Antler Court regarding chickens in a yard.

- Deputies responded at about 3:30 p.m. Friday to reports of a hit and run incident on Bristlecone Road south of Lander. The reporting party said someone had struck a vehicle in a driveway.

- Four juveniles were cited at about 8:50 a.m. Saturday in the 500 block of South Smith Road in Riverton. Initial reports indicate underage subjects were walking down the road intoxicated with a bottle of alcohol.

- Deputies responded at about 11:45 a.m. Saturday to reports that someone had broken into a house in the 1400 block of Stock Trail near Dubois. Officials said a door had been pried open but nothing had been taken.

- Deputies responded at about 5:15 p.m. Saturday to reports that someone on Canyon View in Lander had "pulled (a) gun" on a neighbor's drone and "threatened to shoot it down." Officials said the neighbors were in a dispute over a flying drone; the suspect had threatened to shoot the machine down but did not.

- Montgomery Yarbrough, 30, of Lander, was arrested at about 7 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Wyoming Highway 789 near Lander for driving under the influence, driving under suspension and open container.

-Q94;Deputies responded at about 6:40 p.m. Sunday to reports that a house in the 3300 block of Riverside Drive in Riverton had been "egged" the night before.

Josie Antelope, 19, of Riverton, was arrested on a Fremont County warrant for failure to appear.

- Debra Elkboy, 38, of Riverton, was arrested on three Fremont County warrants for failure to appear.

- Shanell Limpy, 25, of Riverton, was arrested on a Fremont County warrant for contempt of court.

- Deputies responded at about 11 a.m. Monday to reports that a vehicle had been vandalized in the 5600 block of Wyoming Highway 28 over South Pass.

- Michael Cousineau, 38, of Riverton, was arrested at about 11:25 a.m. Monday in the 1100 block of Major Avenue in Riverton on a court order.
