A baby was born to Cecelia Shakespeare of Ethete and Myron Arthur of Riverton at 7:20 p.m. October 31, at Sage West Health Care at Lander. The baby weighed 5 pounds, 15 ounces.

Wyoming Arts Summit will be held Nov. 2 - Nov. 4 at the Lander Community Center. The event is an opportunity for Wyomigites to come together, learn from one another and empower the state's creative sector. The summit offers professional development track for arts advocates, administrators, educators and artists. Events will be held over the course of 3 days, check out the full schedule at www.wyoarts.state.wy.us

Wyoming Arts Summit Independent Music Showcases will be held 7-9:30 p.m. at Middle Fork, 351 Main St. in Lander, and 9 p.m. to midnight at the Lander Bar, 126 E. Main St. in Lander. Eleven bands from all over Wyoming will be featured. The event is free and open to the public.

Community events and concerts as part of the Wyoming Arts Summit continue with a self-guided art walk 6-8 p.m. in downtown Lander.

The Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund board will meet 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Monarch meeting room at the Pronghorn Lodge Rodeway Inn, 150 East Main Street in Lander, to focus on review and award of October 2017 grant applications. The CWC Time's A Wastin' Big Band will perform its fall concert at 7 p.m. in the Robert A. Peck Arts Center. Admission is free.. The band is composed of both college students and community members and will perform several vocal features with local singer Chuck Rogers. The band will perform pieces old and new, from well-known composers such as Irving Berlin to modern composers like Rick Hirsch.

The 4th Annual 5K Diabetes Color Run or Walk will begin at 10 a.m. at Rocky Mountain Hall. Registration is at 9:15 a.m., and there will be a small health fair for blood pressure and blood glucose screening and education. Call 332-7300 for more information.

Missouri Valley Annual Pancake Supper will be held at the Missouri Valley Fire Department, 330 Missouri Valle Road, from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be a $1 per ticket raffle for gift cards to Clark's Meat House. Donations are appreciated.

In Riverton Police Department reports Wednesday:

-Raymond Harris, 37, of Riverton, was arrested at about 12:50 a.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of South Third Street East for public intoxication.

- A citation has been prepared for the suspect in a domestic battery incident reported at about 4:10 a.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Birch Avenue. A woman is alleged to have assaulted a male household member. He did not require medical attention, officials said, but he did have a bloody nose and other minor injuries.

- Police responded at about 8:10 a.m. Wednesday to reports of a minor traffic incident in the 800 block of North Federal Boulevard.

- Vernon Manderson, 45, of St. Stephens, was arrested at about 1:50 p.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of North Federal Boulevard on a Riverton municipal warrant.

- Police responded at about 4:20 p.m. Wednesday to reports that a purse had been stolen out of a shopping cart at a store in the 1700 block of North Federal Boulevard. The reporting party said she left the bag in the cart when she exited the store; when she returned she couldn't find it. Officials are reviewing surveillance footage to determined what happened.

- Christopher SunRhodes, 64, of Arapahoe, was arrested at about 6 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of North Federal Boulevard for trespassing. Officials said he had been previously trespassed from a store in the area.

- Kenneth Shakespeare, 31, of Arapahoe, was arrested at about 6 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of North Federal Boulevard for public intoxication.

In Fremont County Sheriff's Office reports Wednesday:

-A package was reported stolen at about 3:50 p.m. Wednesday from Riverview Road.

- Deputies responded at about 4:40 p.m. Wednesday to reports that "50 horses an foals" were "running everywhere" in the1700 block of Missouri Valley Road near Pavillion.

- Tara Farley, 42, of Riverton, was arrested on a Fremont County warrant for contempt of court.
