Wyoming Arts Summit will be held Nov. 2 - Nov. 4 at the Lander Community Center. The event is an opportunity for Wyomigites to come together, learn from one another and empower the state's creative sector. The summit offers professional development track for arts advocates, administrators, educators and artists. Events will be held over the course of 3 days, check out the full schedule at www.wyoarts.state.wy.us

Community events and concerts as part of the Wyoming Arts Summit begin with the Wyoming Arts Council's 50th Anniversary Concert at 7:30 p.m. in the Lander Valley High School auditorium.

The Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund board will meet 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Monarch meeting room at the Pronghorn Lodge Rodeway Inn, 150 East Main Street in Lander, to focus on review and award of October 2017 grant applications. Wyoming Arts Summit Independent Music Showcases will be held 7-9:30 p.m. at Middle Fork, 351 Main St. in Lander, and 9 p.m. to midnight at the Lander Bar, 126 E. Main St. in Lander. Eleven bands from all over Wyoming will be featured. The event is free and open to the public.

Community events and concerts as part of the Wyoming Arts Summit continue with a self-guided art walk 6-8 p.m. in downtown Lander.

The CWC Time's A Wastin' Big Band will perform its fall concert at 7 p.m. in the Robert A. Peck Arts Center. Admission is free.. The band is composed of both college students and community members and will perform several vocal features with local singer Chuck Rogers. The band will perform pieces old and new, from well-known composers such as Irving Berlin to modern composers like Rick Hirsch.

The 4th Annual 5K Diabetes Color Run or Walk will begin at 10 a.m. at Rocky Mountain Hall. Registration is at 9:15 a.m., and there will be a small health fair for blood pressure and blood glucose screening and education. Call 332-7300 for more information.

Sunday, November 5

Missouri Valley Annual Pancake Supper will be held at the Missouri Valley Fire Department, 330 Missouri Valle Road, from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be a $1 per ticket raffle for gift cards to Clark's Meat House. Donations are appreciated.

In Riverton Police Department reports Tuesday:

-Nathaniel Troll, 19, of Riverton, was cited at about 8:40 a.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of College View Drive for obstructed windshield. Police were responding to reports of a minor traffic incident; no injuries were recorded.

- Rosalynn Antelope, 33, of Arapahoe, was arrested at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of Bell Avenue for public intoxication.

- Police responded at about 2:50 p.m. Tuesday to reports that a purse worth $30 had been stolen from a locked vehicle in the 1700 block of North Federal Boulevard.

- Officers assisted firefighters who responded at about 3:35 p.m. Tuesday to reports that someone had struck a gas line in an alley in the 1000 block of Eastview Drive.

- Police responded at about 5:40 p.m. Tuesday to reports of a minor traffic incident in the 800 block of North Federal Boulevard.

- Josie Washakie, 33, of Lander, was arrested at about 9:05 p.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of East Main Street for public intoxication.

- Byron Lincoln, 52, of Riverton, was arrested at about 9:40 p.m. Tuesday in the 700 block of North Federal Boulevard on a Riverton municipal warrant.

In Fremont County Sheriff's Office reports Tuesday:

-The Wyoming Highway Patrol responded at about 7:10 a.m. Tuesday to reports that a bus had been "rear-ended" at the intersection of Hutchinson Road ad Wyoming Highway 789 north of Riverton.

- Deputies responded at about 7:20 a.m. Tuesday to reports that a delivery driver had hit a telephone box in the 800 block of West Ramshorn Street in Dubois.

- Deputies responded at about 1:45 p.m. Tuesday to reports that two horses were walking southbound down the side of Eight Mile Road near Pavillion.

- A warrant is pending for a suspect in a domestic abuse report made at about 7:25 p.m. Tuesday in Riverton. The reporting party said the suspect was "beating on her." Officials said the suspect fled prior to deputies' arrival.

- Tyler Blair, 25, of Cody, was arrested on a Fremont County warrant for failure to appear.

- David Dewey, 48, of Riverton, was arrested for shoplifting and on two Sublette County warrants for failure to pay fines.

- Harley Hallett, 18, of Cheyenne, was arrested on a Fremont County warrant for probation revocation.

- Kayli King, 23, of Gillette, was arrested on a Fremont County warrant for contempt of court.

- Jason Treadway, 20, of Gillette, was arrested on a Fremont County warrant for contempt of court.
