Orchestra season starts next monthOct 27, 2017 From staff reports
The Fremont Symphony Orchestra will kickoff its 31st season Nov. 11 in Lander.
The first concert, "The Beth Shipley Memorial Concert," will be one of three being held during the season.
The concert will take place at 7 p.m. at the Lander Valley High School auditorium. Tickets are $10 per person or $20 per family.
Shipley was a founding member and cello performer until her death earlier this year.
The fall concert will feature soloist Richard Dowling, with the orchestra accompanying him in a performance of Robert Schumann's "Piano Concerto."
The program will also include orchestral work by Delibes, Tchaikovsky and Verdi.
An armed forces salute will take place in commemoration of Veteran's Day at the concert, the release stated.
The spring concert will be take place March 17. while the fundraising concert will be held in January.
