The Bureau of Land Management has released its initial environmental analysis for the Wind River/Bighorn Basin District's first quarter 2018 competitive oil and gas lease sale. The document is available for a 30-day public comment period.
The lease sale includes 89 parcels and approximately 125,507 acres of federal mineral estate within the Wind River/Bighorn Basin District. The draft Environmental Assessment studies the potential offering of 16 parcels totaling 18,305 acres in the Cody Field Office; 65 parcels totaling 101,947 acres in the Lander Field Office; and eight parcels totaling 5,255 acres in the Worland Field Office.The BLM will hold the lease sale online viawww.energynet.com.
