Two men died Monday in separate motor vehicle incidents in Fremont County.

Coroner Mark Stratmoen said a 46-year-old Fremont County man died of blunt-force head trauma at the scene of a single-vehicle rollover that was reported at about 1 a.m. Monday on Yellow Calf Road east of Ethete.

Stratmoen did not believe anyone else was in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The man will not undergo an autopsy, but toxicology results will be forthcoming.

The Bureau of Indian Affairs is the lead investigating agency.

Officials said a 71-year-old Florida man died as a result of an all-terrain vehicle crash reported at about 1 p.m. Monday on Warm Springs Road about a half mile from the Fish Lake area west of Dubois.

Initial reports indicate the man overturned a Polaris four-wheeler on a Forest Service Road, suffering shoulder and head injuries that were determined to be critical.

"He was airlifted to SageWest (Health Care at) Lander and later died of his injuries," Fremont County undersheriff Ryan Lee said in a press release Tuesday.

The man was out riding with other people, but Lee said no one observed the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.

Stratmoen said the man will not be autopsied, but the cause of death is yet to be determined.

Stratmoen did not release the names of the two men immediately.
