County promoted as tourism spot in web promo series

Fremont County will welcome a selected adventurer and tiny house for 12 days in July through a partnership with the Wyoming Office of Tourism on its upcoming "Call of the WY" promotion.

The selected adventurer -- tol be announced in early June after the casting call closes on May 31 -- will spendJuly 13-24 in Fremont County as part of the six-week tour of the state. The trip will include Dubois, Lander, South Pass and Atlantic City, as well as a variety of activities that may include attending the Dubois rodeo, a horsemanship clinic at a dude ranch, attending the International Climbers' Festival and exploring Sinks Canyon State Park, as well as experiencing the history and culture of the area.

"Through the eyes of this traveler, we'll be able to introduce our region to people who are prime for an adventure in our region," said Paula McCormick, marketing director for the Wind River Visitors Council.

Part of the larger "That's WY" campaign for the Wyoming Office of Tourism, the promotion will be heavily promoted to audiences across the nation to introduce Fremont County as an authentic, exciting travel destination. The "Call of the WY" will be hosted on the WOT website at
